Muoto

Future perfect continuous muodostetaan kahdesta elementistä
Verbin tulevaisuuden perfekti "to be" (will have been) + pääverbin partisiipin preesens (sanan kantamuoto + ing)

Subjekti + will have been + partisiipin preesens
He will have been playing.
I will have been playing.

Funktio

Kuten future perfect simple, tätä muotoa käytetään kun heijastamme itsemme eteenpäin ajassa ja katsomme taaksepäin. Se viittaa tapahtumiin tai toimintaan, jotka eivät ole vielä päättyneitä, mutta päättyvät jossain vaiheessa tulevaisuudessa. Sitä käytetään yleensä ajan ilmaisujen kanssa.
