Muoto
Kun kirjoitamme tulevaisuuden velvoitteista, käytämme virallista kaavaa, joka koostuu kahdesta elementistä:
verbi preesensissä, taivutettuna subjektiin sopivaksi + pääverbin infinitiivi

Funktio
Kirjoitetussa englannissa, voimme käyttää tätä kaavaa viittaamaan velvoitteeseen tai vaatimukseen, jonka teemme myöhemmin kuin nyt. Se on merkitykseltä saman tyyppinen kuin must, mutta muoto viittaa siihen, että jotain on järjestetty meitä varten. Sitä ei käytetä yleensä puhutussa englannissa.
